Delete your Sous account

Sous is a cooking app made by Leetdreet. A Sous account is optional. If you created one, you can delete it at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app

1. Open Sous, tap Account at the bottom, then Your profile. Sign in if you are not signed in.
2. Tap Delete my Sous account.
3. Type your Sous password, then tap Delete account permanently to confirm.

The account is deleted straight away. If you have forgotten your password, use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen first, or ask us by email as below.

By email, without the app

1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Sous account".
2. Send it from the email address your Sous account uses, so we know the request is yours.

We will delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your account record: your email address, your scrambled password, and your sign-in history.
• Your recipe book: the recipes you saved, on our servers and, when you delete in the app, the copy on that phone. A copy on another phone where you were signed in stays there until you remove the app from it.
• The link between you and any recipes you added to the shared recipe library. The recipes themselves stay in the library, with no account attached; if you made a recipe and want it removed, write to us.

What is not affected

• Information kept only on your phone (your theme, your store choices, and sign-ins to other services). Removing the app from your phone removes these.
• Your accounts with other services, such as Instagram or Walmart. Sous has no control over those.

What may be kept for a time

Copies held in our hosting provider's backups, where they exist, are overwritten on that provider's schedule. If you asked by email, we keep that email as a record that we did it.
